BC Hydro The Company BC Hydro is one of the largest electric utilities in Canada, serving more than 1.6 million customers in an area containing over 94 per cent of British Columbia's population. The company operates 30 hydroelectric facilities, two gas-fired thermal power plants and one combustion turbine station, which altogether generate between 43,000 and 54,000 gigawatt hours of electricity annually. Electricity is delivered through the company's vast network of 18,286 kilometres of transmission lines and 55,254 kilometres of distribution lines. In 2005, the company had 4,396 employees, and generated a net income of $402 million CAD. BC Hydro continues to deliver on its mission to provide reliable power, at low cost, for generations. In order to support the organization's new performance management strategy and in order to ensure that all employees fully understand the new performance management process, BC Hydro has turned to TELUS Communications to help the company produce two e.learning modules - "Growing High Performance Overview" and "Growing High Performance - Performance Planning Objective Setting". As an approved vendor to TELUS for e.learning production services, TELUS chose to partner with Converge Creative to design and produce the two e.learning modules required for BC Hydro.
